The attractiveness of Salvador as a tourist destination has certainly motivated and continues to motivate the stopovers of cruise ships of several itineraries, which end up increasing the number of berths at the Port of Salvador.
Although the Brazilian cruise tourism sector has suffered a noticeable reduction in the number of cabotage ships since the 2011/2012 season, the statistics of ship stopovers at the Port of Salvador have since then shown a gradual development of this sector.
Note below the movement at the Port of Salvador of the ships that are making the itineraries along the Brazilian coast (cabotage) and also of the ships that are passing through Brazil (long course), per season.
