CONTERMAS is committed to obtaining and maintaining the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Standards, in addition to the ISPS CODE Compliance Statement, as a way to ensure the continuous improvement of its work processes and the generation of value for society.
The strategy of meeting this commitment is supported by the development of an integrated management system for certifications, aimed at improving resource utilization, streamlining work plans and optimizing results.
Our Management Policy aims at the standardization of processes, monitoring and environmental performance, maintenance of occupational health and safety of workers, compliance with legal requirements and other requirements, acting with efficiency in the provision of port services.
The actions of the integrated management system are already underway and the activities of the Maritime Passenger Terminal of the Port of Salvador are in the process of planning, ordering, analyzing and correcting in order to achieve the admitted commitment soon.
On October 4, 2018, CONTERMAS obtained the DECLARATION OF SECURITY COMPLIANCE UNDER THE ISPS CODE, which refers to the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS). The ISPS Code guidelines are complied with by 166 countries that comprise the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
Having accomplished the requirements of the International Code, regarding the Terminal’s security and safety, and having its Public Port Security Plan approved by the National Commission of Public Security in Ports, Terminals and Waterways – CONPORTOS, within the scope of the Ministry of Public Security, the Declaration of Security Compliance No. 238/2018 was granted to CONTERMAS.
